Valentine is a Utah artist, who captures the personalities of mans best friend using acrylic. Her simple and fun style perfectly describes each dog, making the viewer smile.
A descendant of Utah Pioneers Sue Valentine grew up in the eclectic avenues area of Salt Lake City. Sue began painting in 1981 and is a member of the Utah Watercolor Society, having served as past President. She is adept at painting with various media including oil, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal and pastel. Valentine enjoys the process and discovery of art making. Art allows her to capture the beautiful side of life. Valentine studied under numerous mentors, including Paul Davis and David Dornan, taking art classes at the University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, BYU, and Snow College. She also studied art in Italy during 2005. |
